About the Event
Artificial intelligence (AI) and signal processing are rapidly transforming science, engineering, industry and digital services. Modern AI systems increasingly depend on signals, sensor data, images, video, speech, biomedical measurements, industrial streams, and multimodal information, while signal processing provides the essential foundations for reliable perception, interpretation, communication and control.
ASPAI’ 2027 will focus on the growing convergence of AI and signal processing. This convergence is especially important as AI moves from isolated software tools towards real-world systems that must operate with noisy data, changing environ-ments, constrained hardware resources, and high expectations for safety, transparency, and reliability.
Recent progress in generative AI, multimodal foundation models, agentic AI, edge intelligence, self-supervised learning, explainable AI, digital twins, autonomous systems, and advanced sensing is creating new opportunities for research and deployment. At the same time, these developments raise important challenges related to data quality, bias, robustness, cybersecurity, privacy, model validation, regulatory readiness, energy efficiency, and responsible human oversight.
Signal processing remains essential for extracting meaningful information from complex, high-dimensional, distributed and real-time data. Its role is critical in sensing, filtering, estimation, compression, pattern recognition, sensor fusion, communications, biomedical diagnostics, image and video processing, speech technologies, radar, sonar, industrial monitoring, and intelligent control.
The ASPAI conference series was established to provide an international forum for open discussion and development of emerging artificial intelligence and signal processing technologies, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation. ASPAI’ 2027 will bring together researchers, engineers, developers, manufacturers, industry representatives, practitioners, and end users to bridge the gap between theory, algorithms, system design, and deployable applications.
Particular attention will be given to AI-driven signal processing systems that can operate reliably in real environments, under uncertainty, and in cooperation with human experts. The conference will encourage contributions demonstrating not only improved performance, but also robustness, reproducibility, scalability, interpretability, sustainability, and readiness for practical use.
ASPAI’ 2027 will offer plenary and invited talks, contributed oral and poster presentations, special sessions, panel discussions, tutorials, demonstrations, and opportunities for professional networking. 1) All registered abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings with the ISBN, ISSN and DOI). The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing in the Web of Science and Scopus.
2) Authors will be invited to submit full-page extended papers to one of special journals' issues, which are published in both formats: print and electronic:
