The Organising Committee of the IE²C Innovation Challenge 2026 invites participation from students, educators, professionals, researchers, and practitioners worldwide. This international, fully virtual innovation competition is organised in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Innovation, Ethics & Emerging Technologies in Engineering and Computing Education (IE2C 2026).
The competition aims to provide a structured platform for the presentation of innovative, ethical, and impactful ideas that address contemporary challenges at the intersection of engineering, computing, education, and society.
Submission Guidelines
Participants are required to submit the following:

Extended Abstract: A concise written summary describing the innovation concept, objectives, methodology or approach, and expected impact. The template for the extended abstract can be downloaded from https://sites.google.com/view/ie2c-competition/registration

Innovation Video Presentation: A short video presenting the innovation, its relevance, and potential impact. You need to submit a video if your project is accepted/eligible for this competition. A letter of acceptance (LoA) will be issued after your registration if your project is selected to the judging phase.
All submissions must be original, in English, and must not have been previously submitted to other competitions.

SCOPE AND TRACKS
Submissions are invited under the following tracks:

Track 1: Science & Technology
Innovations that present application-driven solutions leveraging engineering, computing, artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, simulation platforms, and other emerging technologies to address real-world problems.

Track 2: Science & Society
Innovations that explore societal, behavioural, ethical, policy, and human-centred dimensions of science and technology, including responsible AI, sustainability, inclusivity, governance, and social impact.

Track 3: Innovation in Teaching & Learning
Innovative, ethical, and inclusive approaches that enhance the design, delivery, and experience of teaching and learning across primary education, secondary education, higher education, and lifelong learning.
