Call for Papers
For ISAPh2026, we welcome submissions covering diverse aspects of speech and language research including, but not exclusive to applications of
- teaching, learning, and assessment of phonetics
- acquisition and teaching of L2 pronunciation
- articulatory, acoustic, and auditory phonetics
- accent coaching
- sociophonetics
- clinical phonetics
- speech technology
- speech pathology
- forensic phonetics
- speech prosody
- orthography and phonetics
- phonetic tools
Submission Guidelines:
- Deadline for abstract submission: March 14, 2026.
- Abstracts should not exceed 2 pages of A4 paper, with 2.5 cm margins, single-spaced, font size 12 or larger, and normal character spacing. Please ensure that your submission strictly follows the guidelines provided in the abstract template on the conference website.
- Supplemental materials (figures, tables, references) can be included on a second page.
- Please submit your abstract in PDF format.
- Each contributor may be the first or single author on a maximum of two abstracts.
Presentation Format:
- Please indicate your preferred presentation format (oral, poster or no preference) when you submit your abstract.
- ISAPh2026 is intended as an in-person conference - presenters should be physically present in Hiroshima.
Review Process & Notification:
- All abstracts will undergo rigorous review by our scientific committee.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance by April 27, 2026.
- The early registration deadline is June 14, 2026.
